Meet Bailey and Bosley … They are brothers that came in together and are "owner surrendered." Check out the monkey on Bailey’s back ... I mean neck. How unfair that they are here!!! Bailey is in his golden years and little Bosley is just one year younger but still has a lot of living to do. Bailey is highly concerned for his fate and Bosley is just a bit more resilient than Bailey – but not much more. In a situation like this, we have to ask ourselves, “How did this happen?” Did their pet parents pass away? Could they no longer care for the two? We don't know the answer, but based on our observations, the two were once very loved dogs that have found themselves living in a shelter and in fear of being separated. Don't let Bailey's smile fool you ... he did his share of stress-panting in his photo-shoot. They are very concerned in this environment but will acclimate very nicely in a home because, after all, these two are use to a house and a couch. They are well-mannered and gentle dogs. Don't delay ... give Bailey and Bosley a home TOGETHER for the rest of their days!
Note: Please keep in mind that all adoptable pets need time to decompress once they enter a home. For some it will happen quickly and for others it might take a few weeks. You'll want to be understanding of what they have been through and their level of insecurity. We ask that you treat all of them as if they were an 8 week old puppy. Assume they know nothing and begin at step one. You'll soon know what they are capable of and what behaviors you will need to work on with your new family member. It's called commitment! And, that's what these pets want more than anything!
Dogs (and puppies) are $ 90.00 : $ 76.00 for the adoption / $ 14.00 for the licenses All age appropriate dogs are given a one year Rabies Vaccination, are being treated with Fenbendazole for most common intestinal parasites, given Nitenpyram for fleas and receive intranasal Bordetella. Dogs over 6 months of age will be tested for heartworm before they are adopted. All of the above is included in the adoption fee.
Dogs are vaccinated for the following:
Did you know that approximately 25% of all dogs and puppies in a shelter will be purebred or of a designer breed? Yep ... crazy isn't it! That is because people purchase pets and then, often, loose their commitment to be a "pet parent." This is not uncommon in higher socioeconomic situations where the larger sum of money to purchase the pet wasn't a factor and pets are viewed as disposable. Let's change this for these deserving pets. Meet Sunny ... sweet and lovable, this tiny boy will do great in most homes. His energy is high and he can be a bit "dominant and ornery" from time to time. His looks are adorable and he is enthusiastic about life. He will do well with people that understand his breed and his need to be "big man on campus." We adore this tiny boy - and you will too. Don't delay ... come to meet Sunny today! Because he is so exceptional, he won't be here long! Thank you, photographer, Olivia Mandala, for capturing their cuteness!
