Condemned Ohio Inmate Does Not Appeal

The condemned Ohio inmate scheduled to die next week has chosen not to appeal the judge's order allowing his execution.

The Associated Press reports Mark Wiles, who is scheduled to die next week isn't appealing the ruling set by the judge.

He would be the first inmate put to death in Ohio in six months following legal battles over Ohio's execution policies.

Wiles was sentenced to die for killing his employers' son,15-year-old Mark Klima in a Portage County farmhouse robbery in in 1985. He stabbed the teen with the knife used to cut his birthday cake the day before.

Wiles' attorney told the AP his client was not appealing but declined to say why or comment
