The Akron Racers are back in a first place tie with the Chicago Bandits in the NPF.

At Firestone Stadium on Sunday, the Racers took a pair of games from the Bandits 4-2 and 10-3.

The Racers used the home run ball to get the doubleheader sweep. Nicole Pauly hit a homer in the first game. Courtney Bures, Sam Marder and Hoku Nohara all went deep in the second game.

Pauly went 3-for-3 in Game One with three runs batted in. Lisa Norris pitched a complete game for the Racers in Game One and got the victory. Norris allowed two earned runs, three hits and struck out seven.

In Game Number Two, Marder went three-for-four to support the pitching of Carla Brookbank-Schall and Morgan Childers for the Racers.

The Racers continue their homestand this coming Thursday night at Firestone Stadium when they begin a four-game series against the USSSA Pride.
