AUSTINTOWN, Ohio – Two weeks ago, the Green boys track & field team took a punch in the gut -- literally and figuratively. The team’s top scorer for the last four seasons and a returning state qualifier, Andrew Pratt, would be sidelined for Saturday’s Suburban League finals and the North Canton Division I District meet. Pratt had undergone an emergency appendectomy on May 11 and his doctor’s order called for two weeks of rest. Green coach Paul Hane said initially his team was in “shock” upon learning of Pratt’s misfortune. Copyright 2012 SportsInk. All rights reserved.
