ROOTSTOWN, Ohio -- The most decorated wrestler in Rootstown High School history is expected to sign a letter of intent this week to attend Notre Dame College in South Euclid, Ohio. In early March, senior Garrett Linton became the Rovers’ first wrestling state champion when he pinned Bedford St. Peter Chanel’s Dan Barrett in the OHSAA Division III 195-pound title match at Ohio State’s Value City Arena. In the semifinal round, he pinned previously undefeated Dalton Ishmael of North Baltimore (48-0) in 1:33. Copyright 2012 SportsInk.
