BRUNSWICK, Ohio – Stow-Munroe Falls' boys basketball team held Brunswick to just one basket in the second quarter and didn’t let the Blue Devils score a single bucket in the fourth. And it wasn’t a contest. Brunswick went wire-to-wire Tuesday by using stifling defense and making life miserable for Kyle Scelza (16 points, eight rebounds). It added up to a 57-40 Northeast Ohio Conference crossover win to extend the Blue Devils’ win streak to six, and believe it when they tell you it happened with strong free-throw shooting and stingy defense. Brunswick (11-1) went 19-of-22 at the line, including 16-of-18 in the fourth quarter, to hand the Bulldogs (7-3) their second straight defeat. “Our 2-3 zone has been consistent and our free-throw shooting has been consistent,” Blue Devils coach Joe Mackey said.
