Jack Snowball was named the Associated Press All-Ohio Division I Offensive Player of the Year for 2011. The Wadsworth senior ran for over 2,500 yards and scored 31 touchdowns.

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Two SportsInk.com area football stars were named Players of the Year in their respective divisions Tuesday as the Associated Press Division I and II All-Ohio football teams were announced.

Wadsworth senior tailback Jack Snowball received the honor as the Division I Offensive Player of the Year, while Kenmore junior outside linebacker Deon’tae Moore is the Defensive Player of the Year for Division II.

Snowball was the primary weapon for Wadsworth and led the Grizzlies (11-2) to the region final. He finished with nearly 2,600 rushing yards and 3,000 all-purpose yards with 31 touchdowns. The 6-foot, 200-pounder did not fumble despite being the workhorse for the Grizzlies.

Moore (6-foot-3, 200 pounds) made 73 tackles for the much-improved Ed Peltz Cardinals. He recorded 30 tackles for loss, including 14 sacks. Moore forced five fumbles and blocked three kicks.
