  AKRON, Ohio – Archbishop Hoban made big play after big play and advanced to the Division II Akron regional softball finals at Firestone Stadium following an exciting 2-1 victory over Lake Catholic on Wednesday afternoon. The game ended on a big play.   Hoban junior left fielder Emma Horning threw out Lake Catholic’s Katie Pucella at home plate following a single by Cougars first baseman Katlyn Spahar with two outs in the top of the seventh inning.   With one out in the seventh, Pucella reached base on an infield single.
