Sabathia has been on the disabled list since June 27 with a Grade 1 groin strain. After throwing a bullpen session on Tuesday, Sabathia said he felt no ill effects from his injury. He will throw a simulated game on Friday, and is expected to start for the Yankees on Tuesday against the Toronto Blue Jays.

"Oh yeah, I'll be ready," Sabathia said on Tuesday. "I feel pretty good, arm feels great. I havne't felt the injury so I'd assume I'll go out and be ready to go."

"As of right now, it's all systems go," Yankees general manager Brian Cashman said.

In 15 starts this season, Sabathia went 9-3 with a 3.45 ERA.
