Alex Trautwig/Getty Images(BELMONT) --  Union Rags was in fourth with one furlong to go, but made a late charge to pass Paynter and win the Belmont Stakes.

Union Rags came into the race with the second best odds of winning at  (5-2). The favorite, Dullahan, was never a factor.

John Velazquez rode Union Rags to the victory. Union Rags had finished seventh in the Kentucky Derby and didn't run in the Preakness.

Union Rags finished with a time of 2:30:42.
