Heat Forward Chris Bosh Out Indefinitely With Abdominal Strain NBA via Miami Heat(MIAMI) -- The Miami Heat's hopes of winning the NBA Championship this season just got a lot tougher. An MRI revealed that forward Chris Bosh has a moderate abdominal strain, and the team has ruled him out indefinitely.

Bosh suffered the injury while going for a dunk during the first half of the team's Game 1 playoff win over the Indiana Pacers. The team expects Bosh to miss the rest of series, but his return to the court after that is unknown.

"We're looking that as good news, it could've been much worse," Head coach Erik Spoelstra said. "I actually felt better today."

"We're moving on as if he's not going to return in this series but we'll see," Heat forward Lebron James said.

During the regular season as one of the member of the "Big 3," Bosh averaged 18.0 points and 7.9 rebounds per game. He was averaging 14.7 points and 6.8 rebounds per game in the playoffs until suffering the injury.
