Report: Magic's Ryan Anderson Named NBA's Most Improved Player NBA via Orlando Magic(NEW YORK) -- More NBA awards from the regular season are rolling in, and according to Orlando Sentinel columnist Brian Schmitz Orlando Magic power forward Ryan Anderson has been named the NBA's Most Improved Player.

Anderson just wrapped up his fourth NBA regular season and it's hard to argue that he took his game to whole other level this season compared to his previous three seasons.

The 23-year-old Anderson averaged 16.1 points and 7.7 rebounds per game this season. He set career highs in points, rebounds, assists, starts, minutes, field goal percentage, free throw percentage, and steals per game.

Last season, Anderson started just 14 games and averaged 10.6 points and 5.5 rebounds per game. He was originally drafted 21st overall by the New Jersey Nets in the 2008 NBA Draft and has seen his production rise each season he's been in the league.
