The Ottawa Senators (40-28-10) stopped the Philadelphia Flyers (45-24-9) in a shootout, 4-3.

The Toronto Maple Leafs (34-36-9) beat the Buffalo Sabres (38-31-10), 4-3.

The Washington Capitals (40-31-8) nipped the Montreal Canadiens (29-35-15) in a shootout, 3-2.

The New Jersey Devils (45-28-6) hammered the Carolina Hurricanes (31-32-16), 5-0.

The Tampa Bay Lightning (36-35-7) jolted the Winnipeg Jets (36-34-9) in overtime, 3-2.

The Columbus Blue Jackets (27-45-7) bashed the Saint Louis Blues (48-21-10), 5-2.

The Chicago Blackhawks (44-26-9) upended the Nashville Predators (45-26-8), 5-4.

The Minnesota Wild (33-35-10) skated past the Los Angeles Kings (39-27-13) in a shootout, 4-3.

NBA: The Los Angeles Lakers (32-20) stung the New Orleans Hornets (18-39), 88-85

The Detroit Pistons (19-33) popped the Charlotte Bobcats (7-43) in overtime, 110-107.

The New York Knicks (27-26) knocked off the Cleveland Cavaliers (17-33), 91-75.

The Philadelphia 76ers (29-23) flew past the Atlanta Hawks (31-23), 95-90.
