(NEW YORK) -- After nine seasons and one NBA title, it looks like Richard Hamilton will be leaving the Detroit Pistons.
According to an Associated Press source, the Pistons are negotiating a buyout with the 3-time All-star.
In his twelve NBA seasons with the Washington Wizards and the Pistons, Hamilton has averaged just under eighteen points a game and is one of only seven players in Detroit's history to score 10,000 points as a Piston.
The buyout doesn't come as a big suprise. Hamilton's relationship with the Pistons had been disintegrating for the past couple of years. It reached a low last season when Hamilton was benched for most of a seven-week stretch.
