A Homerville 2-year old hit by a pick-up truck died from her injuries Tuesday morning.

The Summit County Medical Examiner's Office and the Medina County Sheriff's Office continue to investigate Sophia Miller's death.

On Monday at 3:35 p.m., officials say Miller was at home when a truck was backing out of the driveway when they say she was hit.

Miller was taken to Akron Children's Hospital via Life Flight where she later died from her injuries Tuesday morning at about 8 a.m.

An autopsy is scheduled.
