The team says Roberto Hernandez got his U.S. visa, and will talk to reporters Sunday at Progressive Field.  He'll do minor league rehab stints while serving a Major League Baseball suspension...

Statement from Cleveland Indians Executive Vice President and General Manager CHRIS ANTONETTI

“Roberto Hernandez has acquired his visa to enter the United States and we are eager for him to return to competition.  He is en route to Cleveland now and will report to Progressive Field Sunday morning, where he will address the media and throw for our Major League staff.  After that, he will join one of the club’s Minor League teams and continue preparing for his return to the Major League team.”

MAJOR LEAGUE BASEBALL DISCIPLINES CLEVELAND’S HERNANDEZ

The Office of the Commissioner of Baseball announced today that Cleveland Indians pitcher Roberto Hernandez has received a suspension of three weeks for engaging in age and identity fraud.

In addition, Hernandez has agreed to restructure his player contract with the Indians.

Hernandez shall serve his suspension, which is effective beginning today, through Friday, August 10th.  Hernandez will be eligible for a rehabilitation assignment to a Minor League affiliate during his suspension.
