A crash between two minvans in Canton has left an 8-year-old child dead.
News Channel 5 reports the crash happened Tuesday morning over on Arlington Avenue NE and Crown Plaza NW.
Police tell Channel 5 a Dodge Caravan was headed southbound on Arlington when it struck a Nissan Quest, which was headed westbound on Crown Plaza.
The child, who was in the passenger seat of the Dodge Caravan died from his injuires at Aultman Hospital later.
The crash remains under investigation.

Medina County Sheriff's deputies scored some cash and drugs during a routine traffic stop.
News Channel 5 reports deputies seized $15,000 in cash and 1 1/2 kilos of Khat, an African plant with similar effects to cocaine.
During the traffic stop, three men identfied as Somali nationals were pulled over for littering along I-76 in Seville last week.
When the car was pulled over, deputies saw a driver chewing a green plant, and also saw leaves scattered around the passenger seats. The men agreed to a search and found a large amount of Khat and money.
All three were legally in the United States and told deputies that after they were stopped, they were traveling back to Maine after a trip to Columbus, but their car had Colorado license plates.
The leaves of Khat are chewed because of their stimulant -like effects that can last from 90 minutes to three hours, which can be addictive. It's typically found in northeast Africa and the Arabian Peninsula.
The plants were analyzed by the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Identification, and the men were released after the drugs were analyzed.

The owners of a Stark County animal farm say they tired to lend a hand to the man who set his wild pets free this week in southern Ohio.
NewsNet5.com reports the Huntsman family, which owns Stump Farm in Massillion, said Terry Thompson approached them for help.
"About two years ago we went and we put all of his facility up to USDA standards," Tricyn Huntsman said, in an interview with News Channel 5.

Huntsman said they believe Thompson lost his focus following his divorce and time spent in prison.
Thompson's wife was interviewed by ABC's Good Morning America and it's reported that she wants the surviving wild pets back.
