BATH TWP., Ohio – The Revere girls basketball team scored 19 points in the fourth quarter for a 49-47 come-from-behind victory over Cloverleaf on Saturday night.
Junior Abby Klein scored 19 points to lead the way for Revere (1-2, 1-0 Suburban League). Junior Gabby Vitez had 13 points, while sophomore Marissa Harvath dropped in 12 for the Minutemen.
Eight players scored for Cloverleaf (0-3, 0-1), led by senior Haley Ploucha’s 12 points. Senior Shelby Dearth scored 11 points.
Also scoring for Revere was Kristen Sawka (5 points) and Kaylyn Roose (1 point).
Also scoring for Cloverleaf was Katie Simpson (8 points), Andrea Baughman (5 points), Brittany Piper (4 points), Kendall Yuhas (3 points), Jessica Lindemeyer (2 points) and Sam Furr (2 points).
HIGHLAND 60, NORDONIA 20. At Granger Twp., the Hornets scored the game’s first 12 points as they defeated the Knights in the Suburban League opener for both teams. The Hornets led at halftime by 21 points and coasted home.
Senior Olivia Petek led Highland (3-0, 1-0) with 19 points. Junior forward AnneMarie Kirchner added 10. For Nordonia (1-1, 0-1) Allyson Carpenter and Sara Andrasik had four points apiece.
GREEN 50, COPLEY 35. At Green, Lydia Corle sored 17 of her 20 points in the first half to lead all scorers as the Bulldogs improved to 2-1 (1-0 in Suburban League).
Erika Rector scored 12 points for Green.
Leah Blacahniec and Meghan Preston each scored 11 points to lead Copley (1-1, 0-1).
WADSWORTH 58, TALLMADGE 34. At Tallmadge, Christy Cingel led the Grizzlies with 13 points, while Jessie Gearhart and Haley Hassinger each scored 10 points for Wadsworth.
Tallmadge got nine points from Kristen Lightel.
