Acme Giving Grocery Bags A Makeover

Acme is unveiling a new look to the reusable grocery bag featuring the talent of local artist.

The Akron Beacon Journal reports that Don Drumm has created the artwork for the bag which is described as round-cheeked sun face eating an ear of corn.

The totes will be available starting Saturday at 16 local Acme Fresh Markets including Henry's Acme Fresh Market.

Customers can buy two limited-edition bags for $5.

Acme President Steve Albrecht and Drumm told the Beacon Journal that they hope the bag will be the first in a series that will feature work from local artists.

As the bag debuts, Acme will be donating $1,500 to the Akron Arts Alliance.
