COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) -- Visitors will be invited to sign a card and enjoy some cake as the Ohio Statehouse celebrates its 150th birthday.

It was on Nov. 15, 1861 that the Ohio Capitol building was completed following construction that took more than two decades. Tuesday's birthday party will include a cake-cutting ceremony in the Statehouse Rotunda and a large birthday card available for signing before it's put away in the Statehouse archive. Officials say in a news release that the card will be brought out and displayed in 2061 during the 200th birthday festivities.

Also scheduled for Tuesday are an Ohio artists fair on the ground level of the Statehouse and the unveiling of portraits of the state's three governors who served during the Civil War.
