BEREA, Ohio (AP) -- The Browns have the NFL's top-ranked passing defense. That's because everyone runs on them.
Cleveland was steamrolled for 261 rushing yards last week by the Houston Texans, who perfectly executed their zone blocking schemes to seal off the Browns. One week earlier, the Browns gave up 174 rushing yards to San Francisco. This Sunday, the Browns (3-5) have to contend with St. Louis running back Steven Jackson, who has gained more than 100 yards in each of his past two games.
Browns linebacker Scott Fujita said the team made some adjustments during practice this week in preparation for the Rams. Fujita called Jackson "a tough back" and said the Browns will have to tackle much better than they have the past two weeks.
