COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) -- A variety of cars, trucks and a boat with a trailer are among 116 vehicles up for bid at an auction of state surplus vehicles this month in Ohio.

The Aug. 25 auction will be at the General Services Division headquarters of the Ohio Department of Administrative Services in Columbus.

A 12-foot aluminum V-bottom boat with a trailer is among the items to be sold.

State agencies declare property as surplus because it is damaged or at the end of its life cycle for government use. Property seized by law enforcement officials also may be included.

All vehicles are sold as-is with no warranties and must be paid for the day of the auction.

Property and vehicle auctions generated more than $2.5 million last fiscal year.
