COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) -- A Franklin County judge has declared another mistrial in the case of a Reynoldsburg man charged in a Columbus homicide.
A jury was unable Friday to reach a verdict on murder charges against Shante Kelley in last year's fatal shooting of 17-year-old E's tabonn Pitts. The Columbus Dispatch (http://bit.ly/MMaQAx ) reports the jurors had deliberated for 10 hours over two days.
Kelley's previous trial also ended with a hung jury.
Kelley is accused of killing Pitts as he walked in the Hilltop neighborhood on May 22, 2011.
After the latest mistrial, the defense asked the judge to dismiss the charges, but the judge denied the request. Prosecutors plan to seek another trial.
