COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) -- Police in Columbus say one 14-year-old boy accidentally shot another, who died at the scene.
Officers say a boy told them he accidentally shot his friend on Thursday with a handgun found at a home.
Police said the boy who fired the gun lives with his grandmother, who wasn't home at the time of the shooting.
The Columbus Dispatch ( http://bit.ly/M4fkYp ) reports the victim did not live at the home but had spent the night there after a Fourth of July party.
Detectives were expected to talk with the prosecutor about whether charges would be filed.
