MARION, Iowa (AP) -- Lauren Doughtie won the Ladies Titan Tire Challenge on Sunday for her first Symetra Tour title, beating Marissa Steen with a 15-foot birdie putt on the first hole of a playoff.
Doughtie birdied the final two holes in regulation - holing a 35-footer on 17 and an 18-footer on 18 - for a 3-under 69 to match Steen at 4-under 212 at Hunters Ridge. Steen finished with a 73.
Doughtie, from Suffolk, Va., earned $16,500. The former North Carolina State player won the 2008 Virginia Women's State Amateur. Steen, from West Chester, Ohio, made $10,199. She played at the University of Memphis.
