GEORGETOWN, Ohio (AP) -- Two southern Ohio brothers charged with assault are accused of attacking firefighters who put out a tractor fire.

The Brown County sheriff says the Hamersville Fire Department was called May 31 to the fire near a Felicity barn. Responders found the brothers trying to douse the flames with a garden hose, and village firefighters extinguished the blaze. The sheriff's report says the brothers apparently were angered and fought the responders until several firefighters held the pair down.

The report says the brothers appeared intoxicated. They were arrested on charges including assault and disrupting public service. One firefighter was treated for a knee injury.

Twenty-seven-year-old Nathan Gray has posted bond. Twenty-two-year-old Timothy Gray remained jailed under $50,000 bond.

No attorney information was available. A telephone message was left for Nathan Gray.
