COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) -- Authorities are trying to identify a man and determine how he died in central Ohio, where his body was pulled from a river.

Police say the fully clothed man was in his 40s. Police tell The Columbus Dispatch ( http://bit.ly/LWhKTc ) the body was caught in debris in the Olentangy River under the King Avenue bridge. That's southwest of the Ohio State University campus.

Someone called police at 9:12 a.m. Sunday. A homicide detective says he was probably in the water for at least a day. The Franklin County coroner will perform an autopsy.
