CINCINNATI (AP) -- A southwest Ohio teen who says he started using coupons last year to support his unemployed parents will be featured on TV's "Extreme Couponing" reality show on Monday.

The Cincinnati Enquirer reports ( http://cin.ci/Jj7OC4 ) that 18-year-old Cole Ledford of Lebanon has bought hundreds of dollars of meat, boxed meals, paper goods and other staples for a fraction of the price using coupons and store discounts.

Ledford has been living in a friend's basement in the city north of Cincinnati for months so he could graduate from his high school. His parents moved about an hour away last year after losing their jobs.

Ledford's mother told producers of the TLC show that her son has been a big help. He says classmates also have dropped off sacks of coupons at his school locker.
