Authors:NAVARRE, Ohio – A month ago to the day on Wednesday the Hoban Knights were sitting at 2-8 and in danger of watching their softball season spin out of control. Fast-forward to their 4-1 victory in the Navarre Division II District final over second-seeded Springfield, and the Knights (14-14) are district champions who have won eight of their last 10 ballgames and are now eying a berth in the regional semifinals next week at Firestone Stadium. “It’s wonderful, we went to districts for basketball, and I just love it for softball,” senior Kaleigh Roop said. “This is my favorite sport and I went out there and did my best today.
