NORTH RIDGEVILLE, Ohio – Almost 51 years have passed since Black River High School opened it doors in 1961 and the Pirates have never won a district title in softball. That could all change Thursday when Black River plays in its second district final in school history. The first one didn’t end well as the Pirates were humiliated last season in the North Ridgeville Division III District championship.
