CLEVELAND (AP) -- The Cleveland Browns say defensive tackle Phil Taylor injured a chest muscle lifting weights at the team's training facility.

The team said Taylor, a first-round draft pick in 2011, hurt his left pectoral muscle during the team's offseason conditioning program. Taylor will be further evaluated on Monday to determine a course of treatment.

It is not yet known if Taylor tore the muscle.

The 6-foot-3, 335-pound Taylor started all 16 games as a rookie. He finished with 59 tackles and four sacks.

Taylor was the No. 21 overall selection by the Browns in 2011. The team recently drafted Cincinnati defensive tackle John Hughes in the third round to add depth to their defensive front.

Browns linebacker D'Qwell Jackson missed most of two consecutive seasons with torn pectoral muscles.
