If you see Wadsworth athletic director Rich Berlin feverishly looking for pens today, don’t be surprised. The Grizzlies might have run out of ink Wednesday after six athletes signed national letters of intent in the high school library. Paige Szabat (track/cross country, West Virginia), Mike Pavlak (swimming, Cleveland State), Jessie Gearhart (soccer, Walsh University), Molly Priest (track/cross country, Ohio Dominican), Ashley May (softball, Wheeling Jesuit) and Kara Long (basketball, Shawnee State) all made choices to continue their athletic and academic careers in the fall. “We’re always proud of our kids when they are able to attain their dreams due to their attitude and work ethic,” Berlin said.
