MEADVILLE, Pa. (AP) -- A northwestern Pennsylvania college is expected to resume normal operations a day after it shut down while authorities searched for a fugitive considered armed and dangerous.

Allegheny College officials say the school will open as usual Thursday.

The college and several nearby schools shut down Wednesday while police searched for an Ohio man who authorities say was wanted for burglary and firing on officers in Conneaut, Ohio.

Meadville police say they spotted Keith Green at a home there but he slipped away from officers. He is still being sought by authorities.

Allegheny College is a school of about 2,100 students 40 miles south of Erie.
