CHESTER, W.Va. (AP) -- MTR Gaming Group says it has reached an agreement with BT Management LLC to operate a new hotel next to the Presque Isle Downs & Casino in Erie, Pa.

West Virginia-based MTR says a Baymont Inn and Suites will be built by the franchise holder, Wyndham Hotel Group. It will have about 100 rooms and suites.

MTR President Jeffrey Dahl said Tuesday that groundbreaking should occur in June, and opening is set for spring 2013.

MTR also owns Mountaineer Casino, Racetrack & Resort in Chester and Scioto Downs Casino & Racetrack in Columbus, Ohio.
