DUBLIN, Ohio (AP) -- Health care products distributor Cardinal Health Inc. said Tuesday that the head of its medical products and services business, Mike Lynch, is leaving the company.
Cardinal Health said Lynch, 51, wants to pursue his ambition to lead a company in the Chicago area. Donald Casey Jr. will become CEO of Cardinal's medical business Monday, and Lynch will work with the company part-time as Casey transitions into the new position.
Casey, 52, works with the Gary and Mary West Wireless Health Institute, which studies ways to use new technology to reduce the cost of health care. He will remain on the institute's board of directors. Casey also worked for Johnson & Johnson for 24 years and was chairman of the company's comprehensive care group.
Shares of Cardinal Health lost 28 cents to $41.35 in morning trading.
