WEST JEFFERSON, Ohio (AP) -- The State Highway Patrol says a pickup truck driver whose vehicle crashed into a motorcycle in central Ohio has been arrested in the deaths of two riders who were killed.

Troopers say they believe the truck driver was under the influence of alcohol when he lost control of his vehicle, veered left of center and struck the oncoming motorcycle Saturday in Madison County, roughly 20 miles west of Columbus.

The patrol said 56-year-old Mark Williams and 51-year-old Jo Ann Williams were thrown from the motorcycle into a ditch. The West Jefferson couple died at the scene.

The 32-year-old driver from nearby London was taken to jail on a vehicular homicide charge.
