Christophe Varidel, Bernard Thompson and Dante Holmes added 16 points each for the Eagles (4-7). Chase Fieler chipped in 10 points for Florida Gulf Coast, which shot 50.8 percent (31 of 61).

The Rockets (7-5) shot 45.2 percent from the field (28 of 62) but were just 13 of 21 from the free-throw line.

Toledo led 77-76 with 2:39 remaining but, after Brett Comer hit a pair of free throws to put Florida Gulf Coast back on top, the Rockets couldn't force a 14th lead change.
