Cleveland State tops Detroit 66-61 for 3rd in row

DETROIT (AP) -- Jeremy Montgomery and Tim Kamczyc scored 12 points apiece to help Cleveland State defeat Detroit 66-61 on Saturday.

Anton Grady added 11 points for the Vikings (8-1, 2-0 Horizon), who won their third in a row. Six victories have come on the road.

Doug Anderson scored 17 points to pace the Titans (3-6, 0-2), who have dropped three straight games. Ray McCallum added 14 points and Jason Calliste 11.

Cleveland State was outshot, hitting 44.4 percent (24 of 54) to Detroit's 46.5 percent (20 of 43). But the Vikings held a 32-23 rebounding advantage, and the Titans made only 1 of 13 3-pointers.

Cleveland State got off to an 8-0 edge but did not take the lead for good until Charlie Lee sank two free throws to break a 24-24 with 5:57 left in the first half. The Vikings' largest lead with 14 in the second half.
