WESTLAKE, Ohio (AP) -- Nordson Corp., which makes equipment to apply adhesives and other materials to consumer and industrial products, on Tuesday raised its quarterly cash dividend 19 percent to 12.5 cents.

The company's previous dividend was 10.5 cents. The new dividend will be paid Sept. 13 to shareholders of record as of Aug. 30, the company said.

Nordson's stock fell 35 cents to $44.95 Tuesday morning.
