Man Identified In Orrville Train Death

A man struck and killed by a train early Saturday in Orrville has been identified.

NewsChannel 5 reports that 31 year-old Nathan A. Sears was hit by an eastbound train at the Norfolk Southern Railroad crossing near South Main Street in Orville.

After police responded to the scene at about 1:30 AM Saturday, the Wayne County Coroner also responded, and pronounced Sears dead at the scene.

The crash is still under investigation.

Kent police are looking for your help in identifying a fatal train accident victim.

Police say the man was struck by a train at just after midnight Sunday morning on the CSX train tracks about one mile north of Middlebury Road, near the Hike and Bike Bridge.

They say the victim is a white male, approximately six feet tall with a thin to medium build, with long dark hair, brown eyes.  He was wearing a black T-shirt, blue jeans and Converse brand black canvas shoes.

Anyone with information on the victim's identity is being asked to call the Kent Police Department, at (330) 673-7732.
