And this little piggie went home.

Brimfield Police Department officers see stray animals on the township's roads all the time, but this one was a bit piggish...or a lot piggish.

The department's active Facebook page shared a picture of the animal on Friday, and amid all the jokes about the department's porcine find, someone actually recognized the pig.

The pig was found on Saxe Road. A Facebook user named Latasha Serva Elton recognized it: "I think this is my cousin's pig.. I'm going to get ahold of him and see if his is pig has escaped..."

Latasha's cousin was already on the case, and Elton said the cousin picked up the pig from Brimfield Police.

Brimfield chief David Oliver confirmed the pickup for AkronNewsNow.com on the department's Facebook page...squeals and all.
