The Akron Police Department and the Summit County Sheriff's Office conducted a drug search at Goodyear's Innovation Center in Akron Thursday.
Company officials requested the search after they received information that drug-related activity may be taking place on the property.
Law enforcement did not find anything during the search.
Plant manager Greg Kerr said in a statement that employee safety is their main priority and the company does not "tolerate any illegal activity in the workplace."
Police K-9's lead cops to four student lockers Wednesday morning at North Canton Hoover High School.
North Canton officers performed a random drug sweep throughout the entire school building.
Police say four alerts came from K-9 units.
If drugs were found, police say the evidence would be confiscated and the person responsible would be dealt with by school administrators and possible criminal charges.
