Wadsworth Police have found the man they say was responsible for a May 12 carjacking and they credit both the public and social media for the arrest, now they are looking for the same help to return the car to its rightful owner.
Police say the department's Facebook page and numerous tips led to the arrest of Antoine Petty, who is now facing robbery charges, which are a second-degree felony in connection with the incident.
Officers from the Akron Police Department located Petty Wednesday, May 15 and arrested him. He was transferred to the Wadsworth Police Department before being taken to the Medina County Jail, where he is currently being housed at.
Despite Petty being found and arrested, the stolen car has not yet been recovered. The car is a blue 1998 Toyota Corolla with Ohio license plate DPV6212.
Surveillance video shows a man jumping into a woman's Toyota Corolla on May 12 while she was getting gas at a Wadsworth gas station. Police say they believe the woman had left her keys in the car.
Anyone with information on the missing Corolla is asked to call Wadsworth Police.

Wadsworth Police are looking for the public's help in trying to catch a carjacking suspect.
Police say the man in the picture took a blue 1998 Toyota Corolla from someone Sunday evening around 7 p.m. The car's license plate is DPV6212
The suspect is described as a man in his mid to late 20’s, approximately 5 feet 6 inches tall, and weighing about 165 pounds. Police say he was last seen wearing jeans and a purple hooded sweatshirt.
Police have no further information at this time.

North Canton Police have arrested a man in connection with the robbery, kidnapping, and carjacking of three teens last Friday.
The North Canton Patch reports 18-year old J'Shar Dorian Stinson was taken into custody by authorities Monday on Logan Avenue NW.
Stinson and two other suspects allegedly robbed three Canal Fulton teens at gunpoint and took off in their car with two of the young men still inside. One of the teens was hit in the head with a gun. and left in the street unconscious according to police
The 17-year old was later found by his family in Canton and was treated for minor injuries at a nearby hospital .
Stinson is facing charges of kidnapping and aggravated robbery. He is currently being held in the Stark County Jail.
Canton Police are still looking for Stinson's two alleged accomplices. Anyone with information can call the Canton Police Detective Bureau.

Police are looking for a suspect who allegedly carjacked and kidnapped a woman at gunpoint in Massillon early Tuesday morning.
Massillon police say it happened near the intersection of Wales Road and Hankins Road around 3 a.m.
Officers found the woman at a Speedway gas station on Genoa Road after police say the suspect dropped her off in Perry Township.
Police say the suspect is considered armed and dangerous.
