There was gunfire in Akron Wednesday afternoon between two suspects and the owner of a used car lot in southeast Akron.
Shortly after 2:00pm the owner of the Best in Value Car Lot, in the 1000 block of South Arlington Street, reported being shot at by two male suspects. The owner reported he returned fire at the suspects. They then fled eastbound behind an apartment building. No injuries were reported.
The suspects are two black males. The first is 25 – 30 years old, 5’07”, 120 lbs., wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt with the Nike emblem on the back. The second suspect is 35 – 40 years old, 5’10”, 130 lbs., wearing a black hooded sweatshirt.

A driver of a stolen car who police say crashed into a another vehicle and sideswiped a Metro bus, sent 13 people to the hospital Tuesday afternoon.
The Beacon Journal reports the driver tried to pass another car before hitting the bus near the intersection of South Arlington Street and Second Avenue around 2:40 p.m.
Police are now searching for the driver of the car after they say he fled the crash scene.
Police said 13 people were taken to a local hospital with minor injuries.

A teenager came to the rescue of his aunt during a robbery early Wednesday morning.
Akron police reports the robbery happened around 1:30 a.m. at a Circle K store in the 900 block of South Arlington Street.
Police say Lee A. Caldwell, 32, of Akron asked a 65-year-old woman for change as she was trying to make a purchase.
When the victim told Caldwell that she didn't have any change, the suspect grabbed the money from her hand and attempted to run.
The victim's nephew immediately tackled the suspect and held Caldwell until police arrived.
Caldwell was treated for a bloody nose and mouth before.
He was charged with robbery and booked into the Summit County Jail.
