Detectives are investigating an Akron shooting that occurred over the weekend.

Akron police say that it happened at Johnston Street and Spicer Street where Michael A. Hollis, 20, heard gun shots while walking home.

Hollis then realized that he had been shot in the right leg.

He was transported by his girlfriend to Akron City Hospital where his injuries do not appear to be life threatening.
