Cuyahoga Falls is turning 200, and hopes you'll come out to celebrate.
A number of bicentennial events in the Falls, over 10 days, finish up this weekend.
Saturday starting at 10 a.m., a Bicentennial Parade pushes off from 13th and Portage Trail, near Bolich Middle School.
"We have over 50 floats in it, we have a lot of other dignitaries," Falls city councilman and Bicentennial Committee chairman Jeff Iula told WAKR Morning Show Host Ray Horner, who will be the emcee for the parade. "We have some other majorette groups, we have a lot of bands in it."
Iula says they'll feature a big finale with the Cuyahoga Falls High School Black Tiger Marching Band.
The parade route goes from Bolich Middle School down Portage Trail, runs past a reviewing stand at City Hall and ends at Front Street and Oakwood Boulevard.
Over 160 units are scheduled to take part, and it's hoped thousands will be on hand.
Parade viewers are being encouraged to text during the parade to vote for the "People's Choice" award.
You'll be able to text the unit number of your favorite entry to a special city number: 330-510-1511, from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. the day of the parade.
