Akron Police are looking for a suspect who beat and tried to rob the owner of the Jade Dragon Restaurant on East Exchange Street late Monday night.  The owner reported he was taking out the trash at closing time when the suspect approached him and struck him in the face with a handgun. The victim fell to the ground. Lieutenant Rick Edwards says as the victim got up off the ground his attacker mumbled a few words and then ran away without getting anything.

The restaurant owner drove himself to the hospital and was treated for minor injuries.

The suspect is described as a black male, about 20 years old 5'7" tall, weighing 160 to 170 pounds.
