Swine Flu Cases At Ohio Fairs Grow

Pigs are becoming scarce at Ohio's county fairs this year, and there's a reason why.

The latest information from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention says 30 of this year's 145 cases of the H3N2v virus - the so called "swine flu" - are in Ohio. Ten of those Ohio cases are new.

It's happening because of exposure to ill pigs by exhibitors and visitors to fairs.

The "swine flu" has mostly been seen in Southwest Ohio, but some county fairs in Northeast Ohio are putting the pigs away.

The good news? CDC officials say this year's strain doesn't seem to be unusually dangerous, unlike the 2009 variety.
