The Green Local Schools district has named a district principal to become the next superintendent...
Green Middle School principal Jeffrey Miller will succeed superintendent Michael Nutter.
The Beacon Journal reports that Miller was offered a contract late Friday, after competing for the job with Ravenna superintendent Dennis Honkala - the other finalist - and 38 others who applied.
Nutter exits July 1st to return to his consulting business.
The district is expected to introduce Miller as the new superintendent at Tuesday night's board meeting, after a contract is finalized.
It's not yet known who will replace Miller at Green Middle School.

The Summit County Sheriff's Office reports a deputy found Jason Mazan, 27, of Canton, inside a parked car behind a business on Massillon Road around 1:30 a.m. on Saturday.
Inspector Bill Holland said Mazan is an assistant drama coach at Green Middle School.
He was arrested for importuning, a 5th degree felony, and booked into the Summit County Jail.
Mazan has since been released after posting 10 percent of his $50,000 bond.
