Displaying items by tag: Five Indicted for Counterfeit Sales In Akron

Three Akron businesses and five individuals have been indicted on charges of selling counterfeit goods in their stores.

Following a lengthy investigation, that began in February, Summit County Sheriff's Inspector Bill Holland says A-1 Market on East Avenue, The Kenmore Sunrise Market on Kenmore Boulevard, and A-1 Wireless and Fashion on South Arlington were cited for selling counterfeits.

Holland tells AkronNewsNow " Nike, Coach, Louis Vuitton were some of the counterfeit items that were being sold.  

Holland says 68-year old Amireh Tawil, 47-year old Maged Ismail, and 41-year old Mashhour Tawil, all from Green and 52-year old Agil Sawalma of Barberton along with a 33-year old Columbus man, have been charged with engaging in a pattern of corrupt activity, and trademark counterfeiting.
